Central Contract and Incremental Contracts

The problem with including central contracts is that they can be abused. You might give them all to your club's players, therefore meaning that you don't have to pay their wages and can spend more money on getting more great players. You could theoretically put together a super-team this way.

You also need to be able as the international coach to enforce your centrally contracted to rest when you want.

Yeah good point. Yes, they may be abused, but in the pursuit of continuous improvement and realistic simulation, it needs to be implemented in some form.

The thing with just Int Career mode is that it kind of defeats the purpose, because its not like you have salary cap restrictions, unlike County Teams.

Maybe a rule, where you can only have a max number of players from your County on CC's. That, although not realistic, can still allow for some room for the introduction of CC's whilst not allowing anyone to abuse it

We could follow the automated system that the ECB currently run. They do a points system (I think it's 3 for a test and 1 for an ODI, not sure), and the players, in-game, would get contracts like that. I prefer that to people actually choosing them. I don't know how it currently works within the game, so it'd have to be discussed.

That would definitely be favourable to the current system (which seems to be based somewhat on ability), although it would be very easy to abuse as well (have a year when you don't care about league performance and play 12 of your team every match. That would give you quite a big advantage.

u shud b allowed 2 choose your own on an int career. u would hav no reason 2 cheat. in fairness tho u surely dont really need contracts on int career mode. theres no finances and u pick your squad b4 each tour or home game.

the only reason for picking them in Int tour mode is so players don't disappear, and hopefully Sureshot will soon inform us that next year the transfer system will be completely re-jigged and that won't happen anyway.
