  • Are Pakistan always the best test side in your saves?

I'm now in 2056 and Pakistan have consistently been the best test side in comparison to other teams. I'm England and I usually beat the other teams, especially at home. India can be tricky away.

But Pakistan are always absolute monsters. They have 6 batsmen who are amazing and always four bowlers who average less than 20 in FC cricket.

They're also toughest in ODI because their bowlers are insanely good. Without fail.

A bit easier to beat in 20 overs as there's more luck involved but they are always the best test team.

    Anyone else find this?

Pakistan or England definitely for tests as far as AI teams go but only Pakistan consistently make the Test Championship final. I find their batsmen aren't often the greatest but when every batsmen on the team is scoring 40+ in a match, it doesn't matter if no one scores a ton. The bowlers on the other hand are the best in the world. Every current bowler with 100+ wickets in their squad has an average of ~25. Their short form isn't too crash hot but then I'm only playing in the late '30s at the moment so that might change.

India aren't strong at the moment either and are easy beats in India since the last few tour they haven't picked specialist spinners and stack their team with all rounders. Oddly enough it's Bangladesh who is stronger shorter formats compared to other teams.

The toughest HAS to be Pakistan, South Africa are absolute walkovers (in spinning conditions) and against spin in their conditions. That said Afghanistan are tough opponents in the t20 format. I play as India ofcourse

I wouldn't rate England too high either, I can get them out bowling spin EASY!

England are still probably the second best AI team in my current save and probably the most consistent across all formats. Unfortunately playing as Australia, my spin options are limited. I've only had one half decent regen spinner in the entire save.

Pakistan keep topping the rankings and are strong favourites for the test championship in my saves but if I take on the test team (almost always England) after 10 years or so I find them easy to beat even if they are reigning champions in two formats.

I find India oddly underpowered away from home after the current real life players retire. Playing as England touring in India is still tough, as is Australia and South Africa though I can usually force test series wins against those teams.

Whenever I take English spinners to India, even if they are in fine form with averages in the low to mid 20s they get slaughtered like in no other country!

2038. My one good regen spinner that actually gets FC games is about to retire. The rest are averaging high 40s in FC and struggle to take a wicket whenever I try them out. This is just an International save so I can't try build up a spinner while moonlighting as a domestic coach.

2038, that's not too far ahead. That said, do you also play the ONLINE game? If so, have we played each other? I have basically 2 teams of .9. (which I rarely play with and the more flamboyant s-o-c-a.

I used to play a few online games every now and then but not in the last few years. Between my own internet being shaky and dropping out occasionally and not having a populated lobby at the times I play, it isn't worth it for me. It's been a while since I've gone this far into a career. Typically I go until all current players retire and then switch teams but without much live cricket being played at the moment, I'm not feeling the urge to restart.

Currently in 2041 and Pakistan have really dropped across all three formats. Probably due to their bowler (with 1000+ test wickets) retiring. England are undisputed second best team at the moment. Their four best bowlers almost have 500+ wickets each and have a deadly spinner. In the Test Championship final, they scored 470 in the first innings and then rolled my team for 125. If anyone is going to spoil my 20 year streak at being the #1 test side, it's going to be them.
