On the contracts screen when you attempt to sign an overseas player, and they decline your offer, the negotiated year always resets back to a one year contract when re-negotiating the terms.
This differs to when signing domestic players as it stays at whatever year contract you had initially offered them.

Here Washington Sundar was trained to FC middle order and now it shows his preferred position as #1?
Also it would be nice if someone from Childish Things could acknowledge the false claim attached to the release of CC18, that batsmen and bowlers can be trained to become allrounders, and issue a formal apology to the buyers of the game who were deceived.

I have played two Afghanistan saves into the 2030s.
On the first one I gave Rashid Khan batting technique training at every possible opportunity. I got about six notifications saying his batting improved, but he never became an allrounder.
On the second game I gave Rashid Khan middle order training at every possible opportunity and never had an improve notification at all.
This game has been out for a long time now, with countless hours of gameplay logged, and no one has EVER publicly come out and said that they have trained a player to become an allrounder!
Please give the fans some proof that this is not an utterly false claim!

At the moment the game is set up so that only players who have their standard potential batting or bowling ability in a certain range can be trained to be all-rounders. This means players who don't have that range can never be trained into all-rounders, however many times they improve. It's actually possible to train players beyond their standard potential, so the change should be based on their current ability rather than standard potential. It's actually only a change of icon, so doesn't make much difference to game-play. I don't think it's worth doing this as an update to 2018, but I'll change it for 2019.

As I am sure you can appreciate it is nigh on impossible for the user to determine who is in that bracket - I would have thought Rashid Khan would be.
Yes I have realized how unimportant the icons are in CC18 by how bad 90% of the allrounders on the game are at their weaker discipline!Last edited by bryce87; 04-24-2019, 12:46 AM.

I've had this happen before. Last round in contracts and I make multiple offers on a reserve overseas player. The first one declines but it allows me to renegotiate a contract, despite no rounds being left. The game then freezes on this screen and you have to do contracts over again.

There is a bug with the youth team budget - it does not actually do anything in this version!
I have played with many different clubs and have never got players with good 2nd team averages in this version. I get the same quality with 10k as 50k. In previous versions this used to make a difference - how come this has regressed?
The AI clubs only put 30k in yet get much better players. In my Essex game there are three batsman over 70 2nd team 3day including one 96. I replayed the screen ~100x times over to confirm that YES YOUTH TEAM COACHING DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Here Alastair Cook "apparently" hit 213 runs in two 2nd XI T20 matches innings at a strikerate of 108. The scores show as 120 and 93*.
In order to have done this he would have faced 197 balls for these runs across the two innings, accounting for 82% of the teams total balls (240), a statistical impossibility.
