AFGHANISTAN reached the final of the world cup vs India!!
It was a thrilling encounter (for me).
Set a target of 335, on the back of a Virat Kohli 100, Afghanistan lost 3 wickets for 80 runs.
In walked Asghar Stanikzai.
He started attacking my bowlers form ball 1 and before I knew it the required run rate had dropped to under 6.
I tried a lot of bowling combinations, to get him out but he wasn't budging. Hasmantullah Shahidi his partner holed out to Kuldeep Yadav when score read 127/4
Now Asghar started getting even more dangerous. He and Najibullah were playing attacking cricket'
Asghar had reached 90 of 50 balls and I was running out of options. I decided to go back to my strike bowler Bumrah, and Voila!
Ashar Stanikzai got out for 91(56).. Bumrah accounted for Najibullahin the same over and had me breathe a sigh of relief. The required run rate at that point had dropped to 5.2
