  • Fixtures

Hi, I've been playing ICC for around 6 years now, and before I buy the latest game, I'd like a question answered please. Any help would be appreciated.

Have the fixtures been sorted out? My 2011 game is in 2064 with India. I sometimes only played 9 ODI's per season. India often play that in a month. I had a regen who played for 22 years, was only injured for one series and didn't even play 350 ODI's.

Has that been sorted out? Surely India should play 25-30 ODI's per year. Does the new game reflect that? It was a very frustrating situation in an otherwise fantastic game.

If you are considering India there are around 15 ODI's per year in ICC 2012.

      Thanks for your reply.

15 ODI's per year for India is nowhere near enough in my opinion. Look at how many Kohli and Raina have played and how old they are. Yuvraj has been out for almost 2 years and has nearly played 300.

I've only had 2 players in 52 years reach 300 ODI's. Looking at India and how many games they play in real life it seems unrealistic.

Has anyone played with England? Approximately how many ODI's per year do England play?

Again I'd be really grateful for help. The lack of fixtures almost spoils a wonderful game for me.

I've looked 20 years into the future and the fixtures are much better this year. They are very consistent. A lot of 3 match test series, 3-5 match ODI series, and more T20 matches. Note that the fixtures will repeat after 20 years.

Here is a trick to see the future fixtures. Make a backup of your fxt directory. Then if you want to see 2015-2016 for example,

        delete int11.fxt
        rename int15.fxt to int11.fxt
        start new international game.

Now the game will start with 2015 fixtures!

would prefer no t20's and more tests and odis, i find the t20 doesnt hold too much statistical interest, its pretty boring to play with bangladesh and only have constant 2 match series

Be careful with this, it might cause issues.

We try to reflect fixtures as accurately as possible.

I agree with you here mate, in ICC 2010, I went to year 2139 and I noticed that that my players who nearly played every game since 20 didn't reach 300, they would be around 190-211 matches in ODI (approx).

Although this year it has improved greatly with the fixtures, I played as Pakistan so I don't really know how many ODI they play this year compared to the ICC2012 in game fixture, but im in year 2015 now so will know more as I progress through the years.

But overall it doesn't ruin my experience of the game, but if they did increase the fixture to reflect real life than that would be great in future editions.

(Although fixtures like Asia Cup would be a welcome edition). Personally I would love to have that fixture
