  • Bowling plans, wicket taking?!

I'm struggling to take wickets in ODI's and sometimes in the longer games.

    1. Can anyone suggest a wicket taking ODI field to put the pressure on, and a bowling plan?

    2. In the longer games, do you bowl to weaknesses or any other tricks to take more wickets?

    Thanks

I think someone else put some details about bowling in the first class/Test games - and I have used the below from previous posts

I always start at 4 bars for a new batsmen... then decrease a bar when they reach 25 bars .. then so on as they "settle" etc

I increase the bars when bowling at the start of the day or after lunch/tea

In terms of field placings do a search for some of Scritty's videos
    - these are based on 20/20 but I found them hugely helpful and adapted them accordingly for the longer formats of the game

I keep my bowl Outside off stump and set the field according .
But occasionally Change the off side bowling to middle or leg-side If Batsman prefer to offside of mean while If they got to be out otherwise again keep bowl offside again
